When it snows in the south it is best to get out and play in it before it melts. So when we got a nice storm in January, we let the kidlets play when it started to snow in the evening. Notice the southern style snow gear.

“Mom, I am READY to go outside!” Elianna

Snow!

Our hands are cold.

Fun!!!!

The next morning, public schools were cancelled. I let the kidlets play outside before we started school so they could enjoy the 3 inches of snow that we got. It actually took a few days to melt as an “arctic” blast came through our area. The snow did not pack nearly as well the next day.

Snow angels.

Let’s sled down the hill on the road.

No strings attached.

Who wants to be next?

This snow business is fun.

Sledding is not just for the big kidlets.

The start of a snow fort.

They had so much fun. I hope you enjoyed the southern snow storm as much as our kidlets did. You people up in the great white north, don’t laugh too hard.

I’m not laughing too hard.
Yes, we have more snow, but you can’t send them out when its 6 degrees with a -20 windchill! Tomorrow might reach 30… yeah!! They are going stir crazy in here!!!
That is the nice thing about snow in the south. I remember the days in Iowa, if we did not play the day it snowed, we often did not play in it because it would get cold and then icy and then it was no fun to play in any more. I did remind the kidlets of that. I hope it is warmer now so they can play.
