In All Things, Give Thanks – Thankful Thrusday

I just did a quick search of The Bible (NKJV) and found that the words “give thanks” are found 39 times.  I just read through them each and boy that is encouraging.  It does not matter what our circumstances, we are commanded to give thanks.  Just in case you want to look, here is the link for the search.  Bible Gateway, Give Thanks. I think I am going to focus on one or two each week for the next few weeks.  As I go about my week, I will try to keep these Scripture in mind as things happen in life, I will look at them in light of God’s Word and give thanks.

2 Samuel 22: 47 “The Lord lives!
Blessed be my Rock!
Let God be exalted,
The Rock of my salvation!
48 It is God who avenges me,
And subdues the peoples under me;
49 He delivers me from my enemies.
You also lift me up above those who rise against me;
You have delivered me from the violent man.
50 Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles,
And sing praises to Your name.

51 He is the tower of salvation to His king,
And shows mercy to His anointed,

I can give thanks in all things because God has given me all things.

I Chronicles 16: Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
10 Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
11 Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
12 Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,

It is amazing the choices I can make each day, moment by moment to either complain or give thanks.
